In France, for Epiphany, we usually eat the famous “galette des rois“. This year, I wanted to bake a different version, a colorful brioche with “Pralines”. Pralines come from the Rhones-Alpes area. French Pralines are almond candies, caramelized in pink sugar.
Basically, this is a brioche recipe, perfumed with orange blossom, and decorated with candy sugar and pralines.
As I’m very “gourmande“, I add some pink pralines inside the brioche…and of course, I hide the “bean” , as the tradition required.
Happy new year!
