Apple’s day…

Today is a snowy day, therefore I decided to bake apples.DSC_0004

First I made a ” pâte sucrée”, a sweet dough, which is very delicate and buttery . It is usually used for lemon , chocolate or red fruit tarts.

Then I cooked a caramel apple sauce. In France we call apple sauce a ” compote”…

Then I baked 2 different pies: one with apple sauce & apple slices, and another one with apple sauce & almond cream.

It smells so good in the kitchen. That’s a perfect ” gourmandise” for the 5 o’clock tea…
